Acoustic, Ventilation & Damper Systems
for Power Infrastructure
KBG Group supplies CPCB-II compliant acoustic enclosures, plant-room ventilation louvers, and fire-rated dampers to power generation facilities, DG installations, and data centre power systems. Proven on Cummins genset installations for hyperscale data centres — engineered for 75 dB(A) compliance without derating the machine.
Power & Energy Challenges We Solve
Power infrastructure lives at the intersection of heat, noise, and fire safety. KBG systems are engineered so noise compliance never comes at the cost of airflow — and airflow never compromises fire compartmentation.
DG Set Noise Compliance
The CPCB mandates that DG sets from 7.5 kVA to 2000 kVA must not exceed 75 dB(A) at 1 metre, with minimum 25 dB(A) insertion loss. KBG acoustic enclosures achieve compliance while maintaining full combustion and cooling airflow — no engine derating, no thermal shutdowns.
Plant-Room Heat Rejection
Power halls and DG rooms reject enormous heat loads. KBG gravity louvers, heavy-duty intake/exhaust louvers, and acoustic louvers deliver the free area the machines demand while keeping rain, sand, and noise out — sized to EN 13030 tested performance data, not guesswork.
Fire & Smoke Compartmentation
Energy buildings are fire-regulated to NBC 2016. KBG UL 555 / UL 555S rated fire and smoke dampers, motorized control dampers, and gas-tight dampers protect duct penetrations through fire-rated walls in switchgear rooms, battery rooms, and cable galleries.

Power Generation Ventilation Solutions — FAQs
Common questions from consultants, EPC contractors and procurement teams.
What power-generation applications does KBG serve?
Ventilation and acoustic systems for power plants and captive generation — including turbine and generator halls, DG rooms and auxiliary plant — with high-airflow louvers and attenuators.
How do you handle high airflow and heat in plant rooms?
Louvers and grilles are sized from the plant's air-change and heat-rejection load, using deep-blade high-free-area louvers and low-pressure-drop terminals to move large volumes efficiently.
Do you provide acoustic control for power plants?
Yes. Acoustic louvers and enclosures are engineered for the required insertion loss to meet CPCB and site boundary-noise limits without starving the plant of combustion or cooling air.
Can you supply and install on operating plants?
Yes. We provide supply with on-site installation and coordination to suit shutdown windows and safety requirements on live power-generation sites.
