How much noise does an acoustic louver reduce?
Attenuation is stated as insertion loss in dB per octave band. A 300 mm acoustic louver typically gives ~8–15 dB and a 600 mm splitter bank up to ~20 dB, with the most reduction at mid/high frequencies. Deeper chambers attenuate more but reduce free area and raise pressure drop.
Which acoustic louver do I need for a DG room?
