Aluminium Facade Louver Manufacturer in India

Facade louvers that screen plant and still pass air — weather performance to BS EN 13030, in a finish that matches the cladding.

A facade louver has two clients. The architect wants a clean screen that matches the cladding line; the services engineer needs a stated free area and a known rain defence behind it. KBG manufactures extruded aluminium facade louvers that answer both — screening and performance profiles in one visual language.

Manufactured in Mumbai and supplied across Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and pan-India — plus the GCC.

Applications

Facade louvers by application

The distinction that matters on a drawing is whether a louver is there to be looked at or to be breathed through. A screening louver hides plant; a performance louver carries a tested free area and water-rejection class.

Plant screening

Hiding rooftop and podium plant behind a continuous facade line.

Car park ventilation

Open screens that meet the ventilation requirement and the elevation.

Service risers & shafts

Louvered panels in the cladding grid over intake and exhaust shafts.

Metro & transport

Station facades where ventilation openings are part of the elevation.

Mixed-use podiums

Screening at street level where appearance is scrutinised closely.

Substations & utilities

Ventilated enclosures that have to read as architecture.

Why KBG

Why specify KBG aluminium facade louvers

Where the louver only screens, the questions are the sightline, the blade pitch and whether the plant behind it is visible from the street. Where it also ventilates, free area and rain defence become specification items: we use profiles tested to BS EN 13030, which gives a water-rejection class at a defined core velocity, and state the free area on the submittal rather than quoting a nominal percentage.

Either way it has to survive on the elevation. Sections are extruded to IS 1285 and the panels, blades and fixings are designed for wind load to IS 875 (Part 3). Finishes are matched across louvers, fins and cladding so the facade reads as one system, with an architectural powder coat to a standard such as AAMA 2605 or anodising for exposed and coastal sites.

Aluminium Facade Louver Manufacturer in India — FAQs

Common questions from consultants, EPC contractors and procurement teams.

What is the difference between a screening louver and a performance louver?

A screening louver is there to hide plant and complete the elevation; its job is visual, and free area is whatever the chosen blade pitch happens to give. A performance louver is a ventilation component with a tested free area and a water-rejection class. Specifying one and installing the other is a common and expensive mix-up, because a screen will not keep driven rain out of a plant room.

What does BS EN 13030 actually tell me?

It is a test method: a louver is subjected to simulated wind-driven rain at a defined core velocity, and the proportion of water it rejects places it in a class. The value of it is that two louvers tested the same way can be compared directly, instead of each manufacturer describing its own product in its own words. The class only means something alongside the core velocity it was measured at.

How is free area different from the nominal percentage in a brochure?

Nominal free area is a geometric figure — the open proportion of the louver face. Measured free area comes from testing and is the number that should drive a fan selection, because it accounts for how the air actually behaves through the blades. If a submittal quotes only a nominal percentage, ask what the figure was measured on.

Can facade louvers match our cladding finish?

Yes, and it is worth specifying explicitly. Louvers, fins and cladding panels can be finished in the same architectural powder coat or anodised to the same specification so the elevation reads as one system. Matching across components made at different times is easier to control when the finish standard, not just the colour reference, is written into the specification.

Do facade louvers need wind-load design?

Always. A louvered panel on an elevation is a pressure-loaded element like any other cladding, and on a tower the blades, panel frame and fixings all have to be sized for the site's wind load to IS 875 (Part 3). Blade flutter and noise at particular wind speeds are checked as well as strength.
